The third annual Bidford Wings & Wheels event took place on Bank Holiday Monday, 25th May, 2015. The weather was kind and we saw an amazing turnout of 180 classic cars, 50 motor cycles, 23 aircraft and around 1,000 visitors. £1500 was raised for the Acorn Children’s Hospice and here are some of the very kind comments we received.
“Our sincere thanks to all concerned for a fantastic day today. We arrived in our Jodel D18 from a farm strip near Bath. The arrival instructions were clear and concise, the radio and marshalling were exemplary, the food was great, the mood was infectious and the cars were superb. As for the Rapide, the CAP10 and the Pitts, well, words fail us. The whole thing was perfect and we pay tribute to all who worked so hard. We’ve been to a few fly-ins in our time (we learned to fly T21’s at Bickmarsh under Dave Millet in 1970!) so we have some standards by which to judge our day today, and it couldn’t have been better”.
“First time I’ve been to a Bidford Wings & Wheels and seemed a great success. All the visiting Pilots I spoke to loved the atmosphere”.
Thanks to Sally Turner, Shelagh Inglis and Dave Smith for the photos.
