BGFC Fees from 1 January 2026
BGFC Membership Fees
Membership fees are applied on 1st April each year and are non-refundable. In addition to the published fees, there is a BGA affiliation fee that will be added for any adult (non-junior) glider pilot.
For new members joining up to 30 September, membership fees are calculated on a pro rata basis according to the month of joining. For new members joining after 30 September, members have a choice of payment options as follows:
- Pay the current year's membership in full which will be extended until 31 March in the following year, or
- Pay a pro-rata membership fee until 31 March and then pay the following year's membership when due on 1 April
| Adult full membership: For an individual aged 26 and over on 1st April. Required to fly club or private gliders and/or private powered aircraft based at Bidford |

This provides both a reduced annual membership fee and reduced launch fees for those on low incomes. To qualify, you need to have an annual income of approximately £21,000 gross per annum or less.
